Wills and Probate

Our Wills and Probate team at Hogan Dowling McNamara have many years’ experience in all aspects of legal work relating to Wills, Estate Planning, Probate and the Administration of Estates and related Litigation.

It is very important to make a Will and even more so when you own property and have people who are dependent on you. Our Probate Team will ensure that your Will is properly made and executed, that it meets with your requirements.

Our team of experts can provide all necessary legal services to Legal Personal Representatives and/or Trustees. If you are appointed to administer the estate of a deceased either as executor (where there is a Will) or as administrator (where there is no Will) we will guide you through the process giving you the best advice possible with compassion and expertise.

At Hogan Dowling McNamara we deal with all aspects of the Administration of a deceased’s estate from advising all the appropriate institutions of the deceased’s passing, preparing and filing the Inland Revenue Affidavit, preparing and filing the papers necessary to obtain the appropriate Grant of Representation, distributing the deceased’s assets, vesting the property of the estate in the beneficiaries and the preparation of estate accounts.

In addition, Hogan Dowling McNamara have a particular expertise in dealing with elderly and vulnerable clients in particular advising on issues on capacity, care needs and independent legal advice. We also specialise in preparing Enduring Powers of Attorney which allows for a specifically appointed person (the attorney) to take actions on the donor’s behalf if he/she is absent, abroad or incapacitated though illness.
